The role will operate on a remote basis so though you will be living and working in the Birmingham area covering the M62 Corridor, you will be uploading details on to the client systems, therefore you will need to be PC literate and comfortable with managing your own workload, planning your materials and requirements for the coming days.

Candidate Requirements:
At present, the company spends less than ?1500 per month on marketing and is handled by senior management. This role is to take charge of all marketing functions within the business with a strong focus on direct response advertising generating leads from SMEs and large corporates. This will be a very hands on role focused on delivering a positive ROI rather than creating brand awareness.
The 4 core tenets of the role in order of priority are:
Digital Lead Generation: A proven track record in generating b2b leads through a multiple of digital channels. The head of marketing will be in charge of all outbound communications from email lists to managing the client CRM systems and as such must have a clear proven track record in this area.
An excellent understanding of how to generate relevant traffic through a long tail SEO strategy will be key as will the ability to run a content creation programme consisting of blog posts, news articles, white papers and email teasers.
Experience within the paid for advertising market will also be required in order to run and optimise a PPC campaign and display ads campaigns. A strong grasp of analytics and tracking tools will be required in order to optimise the campaigns and deliver at least an ROI of 2:1

Product Development and testing: We will be running a number of experiments to identify the most effective means of generating the leads and as such having proven experience in deciding which product features to prioritise, how to build in the product features, conduct the experiments and analyse the findings will all be key to the role.
Community Management: We will be looking to build on the global community that already exists within the company and therefore previous experience in increasing user engagement with a service/product will be highly prized. Having established referral programmes or ambassador programmes will be useful either on or offline. Having built and run a regular newsletter schedule will be key as well as the ability to take and build case studies of platform success stories.
Brand Management: The final aspect of the role will be handling the Public front of the company and mean liaising with the PR agency as well as journalists themselves. It will also be very useful if the candidate has experience in driving brand awareness and interaction through social media especially when working towards enhancing the community engagement.
